Gartner Includes Velocity Technology Solutions in Annual Critical Capabilities Report
In its recently released annual assessment of SAP and Oracle cloud vendors, Gartner research evaluated 17 service providers -- and a handful of supplemental third-party vendors -- who may represent the sweet spot for organizations who need hosting solutions.
Gartner cited Velocity Technology Solutions as an unevaluated IT service provider in this Critical Capabilities research that may present alternatives for your business requirements.
The Gartner report lays out the seven critical capabilities it used to evaluate providers’ would-be performance across three use cases for their ability to provide multi-year application management services.
These seven capabilities include new technology delivery, integrated business, industrialization, local support, technology stack, service integration and risk-based pricing.
Among the key findings: “All the service providers analyzed are established companies that have demonstrated critical size, scale and global reach needed to be included in this research. Each service provider, at varying levels, can support the three enterprise size categories (large, midsize and small).”
This research is designed to primarily: (1) inform and guide the overall evaluation and selection process; and (2) develop and manage sourcing risks. When considering vendors for a request for information or request for proposal for SAP application management services, do not simply select vendors with a high overall ranking. Rather, focus on interactively using the weightings to determine which critical capabilities are most important to your organization. The "best" or "top" vendors are based on your business and IT needs. "Best" is determined by enterprise-specific demands, not by a generic use case.
Gartner does not endorse any vendor, product or service depicted in its research publications, and does not advise technology users to select only those vendors with the highest ratings or other designation.
