Lauren E. Nelson, Principal Analyst at Forrester
Lauren E. Nelson, Forrester's private infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud lead, is an analyst based in Cambridge, Mass., serving Infrastructure & Operations Professionals. Her coverage area spans the IaaS space with extensive knowledge of solutions (including internal private, hosted private, and public IaaS), enterprise adoption trends, the current state of cloud standardization, and cloud metrics creation. Her coverage also includes strategic right sourcing of applications, cloud strategy development, customer use cases, cloud adoption trends, cloud economics, and the green implications of cloud computing. Sal Jamil, EVP of Technology at Velocity
As Executive Vice President of Technology at Velocity, Sal leads the company’s technology and product strategy, oversees Velocity private cloud infrastructure delivery and is responsible for enhancing Velocity’s Cloud Application Management Platform. Prior to joining Velocity, Sal served as Chief Technology Officer for Locaweb (largest Cloud provider in South America). Before that, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Applications on Demand for IBM. Sal also served as a Group Vice President for Oracle’s Consulting team focused on Technology, Industrial, Automotive and Aerospace verticals. Sal is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Management & Computer Integrated Manufacturing and a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
